Project overview
A clean, professional brochure site for Bevan Buckland - Wales' largest independent chartered accountancy firm, serving over 6,000 clients across five offices. Built solo from the ground up, the project called for a polished, trustworthy digital presence befitting a firm with over a century of heritage.
Technical approach
The site was built on WordPress using Roots Sage and Bedrock, with Advanced Custom Fields powering the content management layer - giving the agency I was working for as well as Bevan Buckland's team full control over their content without touching code. Bedrock's modern project structure kept the codebase organised and environment configuration clean across development, staging, and production.
Payment integration
The most technically involved aspect of the project was integrating a secure online payment form using the GlobalPay PHP SDK. This allows clients to make payments directly through the site - a meaningful convenience for a firm handling sensitive financial relationships. Implementing the SDK required careful attention to security, error handling, and a smooth user experience that kept the process simple and friction-free from the client's perspective.
